April is Emergency Preparedness month and the Santa Clarita Valley is no stranger to emergencies. Fire, flood, drought – the last few years have represented some true challenges.

With that in mind, the County of Los Angeles and the City of Santa Clarita will be on hand at the April VIA luncheon to provide first-hand information on emergency planning and preparedness.
Speakers and topics include:
Captain Robert Lewis - LA Sheriff's Department - What does the Sheriff do during an emergency?
Chief Anderson Mackey - LA County Fire Department - What does the Fire Department do during an emergency?
Maria Grycan - LA County Fire, Community Services Liaison - Emergency Coordination/Evacuation
Donna Nuzzi - City of Santa Clarita, Emergency Services Supervisor - How to get back in business after an emergency
Roger Langford - Princess Cruises, Coordinator, Emergency Preparation and Safety, Building Facilities - Have an emergency plan for your business.
